Devialet Astra Opéra de Paris is a hi-fi amplifier, streamer and phono stage in one compact unit, here covered in 23-carat gold leaf. Artisans at Ateliers Gohard in Paris lay the leaf by hand, part of Devialet’s partnership with the Opéra de Paris. Each unit is individually numbered and ships with a certificate of authenticity.
The casing, only 47 mm tall, is machined from a single block of aluminium. It holds everything between a source and your speakers, including a phono stage for vinyl that accepts moving-magnet or moving-coil cartridges. It drives passive speakers with up to 2×300 watts and shapes its output to the model you connect.
Control comes from a screen remote with 1 dB volume steps. Stream over Wi-Fi or Ethernet from AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify and others; a second Astra later doubles the power. Talk to us about arranging an audition at T-Space Tampines, Singapore.
