The Phantom Ultimate 108 dB is Devialet’s high-end wireless speaker, with 1100 watts and bass that reaches 14 Hz. In the Opéra de Paris edition its side plates are gilded in Moon Gold leaf by Ateliers Gohard, a Paris workshop whose restorers also work on the gold of the Opéra Garnier.
The rounded Phantom shape is kept for the way it spreads sound through a room. Two woofers on the sides move in unison and cancel each other’s vibration, and an aluminium medium and tweeter carry the sound up to 35 kHz.
